Once, I was asked by a Polish girl, what I know about Poland. It was a tricky question, because nearly all that leaks to the media is not so nice and it would definitely be a shame to list any of such facts. So here we go: positive facts about Poland!
Number 1: Bolek and Lolek
Bolek and Lolek is a Polish cartoon, an old one. In Polish it's called Bolek i Lolek. It is about two boys and their adventures. The illustrations are truly beautiful.
Number 2: Krzysztof Zanussi's film The Illumination
There used to be a shop with cheap books, DVDs, CDs and similar stuff, that the typical customers do not buy. Perhaps already 6 years ago I found there a DVD with an attractive cover. There was a man and a blackboard covered in some math or physics. I bought this DVD and wanted to watch the film. So far, I hasn't seen it. Though, I believe it's going to be a good one. Krzysztof Zanussi is a notable Polish film director, who started making films in the late 1960's (his first film dates back to 1969). The Illumination is from the early 70's.
Number 3: tasty bread
Polish bread has been probably the best bread I've ever tasted. We enjoyed it daily during a family holiday many years ago. One can barely explain the taste of a freshly baked Polish bread. Taste buds cannot be fooled.
Number 4: delicious warm fruit juice
I don't know if this is a thing in Poland or whether it was just typical for the place, where we had had our lunch during holiday. Nevertheless, this slightly warm diluted fruit juice from compote was really delicious.
Number 5: pleasant summer at the seaside
Summer holiday spent at the Polish seaside is a win especially for people who love the sea but despise the hot weather. It is warm and sunny enough, yet the presence of the sea make it bearable compared to southern Europe.

Christmas Gift Guide - Giving
What do you associate the word Christmas with? Holiday, tons of snow, family gathering, huge feast, singing Christmas carols, Christmas tree, or Santa Claus? Christmas is that time of the year when most of the people all over the world get and/or receive presents within the shortest period of time. Let's now have a look at extending this tradition into yet another dimension.
Maybe you already have several Christmas sweaters, watches, handbags, or cameras and you are unsure what to get (yourself) for Christmas this year. Perhaps, there might be something that might warm your heart, a feeling that somebody else who is in real need, will receive a present from you. A present which might have a huge impact and literally change people's lives.
There are two charity-related websites which I have discovered in the past 6 months and would like to share them with you.
Website no. 1: Givey
Givey is a database with a social platform which enable you to support a cause of your choice ranging from health-related (such as Dementia UK) through civil rights (e.g. UNICEF UK) to international organisations (e.g. WaterAid). You need to have a PayPal account to be able to make a donation. The page promises that your entire donation goes to the selected charity which is not obliged to pay any fees.
Website no. 2: Sevenly
Sevenly is a web place where it is each week possible to buy different T-shirts (nice designs!) or other goods supporting a certain cause. So far there were Mercy Ships (hospital ships), Plant With Purpose (teaching poor people in rural areas to plant crops) and others. The page shows a sum of money which should in ideal case be reached for that particular cause. In comparison to Givey, only 7 USD of each item you purchase go to charity.

News
So what is new? I stopped updating blogger blog because I have found out that diy wordpress suits me more. More complicated things (concerning blogging) make me happier because I can customize whatever I want to. Maybe not whatever (I still know nothing about php) but a lot. I have also decided to move all posts from all my blogs (except some boring unimportant lists) to diy wordpress. I will still keep all accounts because I like exploring and finding out how things work, changing design and so on.
What do I mean by diy wordpress? - That kind of wordpress which you download, unpack, upload, set and customize ;)
What is the address of my diy wordpress? - Wait, please, will tell you soon.
Thanks for your attention and thanks to all people who ever commented :)
